Welcome to our Slack community for managers! We're excited to have you here and hope you find the platform useful for connecting with your peers and sharing ideas.
To ensure that everyone has a positive experience, we've put together a list of Dos and Don'ts for using our community. Please take a moment to review them:
Dos
- Do introduce yourself: When you first join our community, please take a moment to introduce yourself on the #intros channel. This will help us get to know you and make you feel welcome.
- Do be respectful: Our community is made up of managers from a variety of industries and backgrounds. Please treat everyone with respect, even if you disagree with their opinions.
- Do create channels: We encourage you to create channels for topics that interest you or that you think would be useful to other managers. Just keep in mind that our community is not intended for sales or commercial use.
- Do participate: The more you contribute to the community, the more you'll get out of it. Don't be afraid to ask questions or share your own experiences.
- Do keep conversations on topic: When posting in a channel, please keep your message relevant to the channel's purpose. If you want to discuss something unrelated, create a new channel for it.
- Do report inappropriate behavior: If you see someone violating our community guidelines or behaving inappropriately, please report it to a moderator.
Don'ts
- Don't spam: Our community is not a place for sales pitches or self-promotion. Please do not post links to your own products or services.
- Don't harass or bully others: We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or bullying of any kind. If you engage in this behavior, you will be banned from the community.
- Don't share confidential information: Please do not share confidential information about your company or colleagues in the community. This includes sensitive financial data, personal information, or anything else that could be considered private.
- Don't be a bystander: If you see someone behaving inappropriately, don't stay silent. Speak up and let them know that their behavior is not acceptable.
We hope these guidelines help you make the most of our community for managers. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact a moderator.
